What Happen if I mixed both Tea and Coffee ?

Tea and coffee are two of the world’s most popular drinks. And while to enthusiasts of both, the idea of a coffee and tea mixture might seem unusual.

Effect ?

I do that regularly. Sometimes I drink only coffee, typically espressos and sometimes tea only, but oftentimes I pour coffee into my container of tea and vice versa.

What happens when I drink it? I find it to be of a good taste and imitable.

Effect? Sometimes the stimulative impact keeps me awake all night, at other times nothing happens.

but suggest this Not a good idea as with both beverage being relatively high in caffeine the two mixed together might or could cause a very bad dose of insomnia. If you want to give it a try go ahead but you won’t sleep a wink all night.

All over the world, coffee and tea are mixed and consumed in a number of different ways as both traditional and comparatively new café beverages.

To learn more, I search on the internet about combination drinks like Kopi Cham, and Spreeze(It's a milk-based coffee drink, naturally flavoured with artisan tea leaves and dried fruits). Read on to learn more about why people mix coffee and tea around the world, and how to make some of these combination beverages.

While the concept of mixing tea and coffee isn’t exactly exclusive to one country or culture, there are three main popular coffee-tea combination beverages.

Emily McIntyre is the Founder and CEO of Catalyst Trade, a coffee trading platform based in Portland, Oregon. She tells that combining tea and coffee is popular in Ethiopia, where the resulting beverage is called spreeze or spritz.

“It’s a simple drink made with tea and espresso that’s often sweetened with sugar,” Emily says. “It’s commonly enjoyed in resort towns like Hawassa as well as major cities like Addis Ababa. It tastes pleasant and refreshing.”

She tells me that spreeze is often made using a popular local tea brand and espresso. The tea is steeped in a cup and sweetened with sugar before an espresso shot is poured over the top.

The result, Emily says, is a balanced drink that combines “the light, floral profile of black tea with the heavier, oaky bitterness of dark roast espresso”.

While Some expert advice should avoid drinking tea/coffee in morning. Many need their dose of caffeine as soon as they wake up. Some think it gives them the required energy to start their day while others get a headache if they don't. Caffeine addiction can be harmful to your health in several ways.

Priyanka Agarwal, a nutritionist at Max hospital, "Tea or coffee is widely consumed as the first thing in the morning. Drinking tea as a beverage has been considered a health-promoting habit. Since ancient times tea plant is used for medicinal purposes as well but to kick start your day with tea/ coffee is not really a good idea."

There are many healthy options to start your day and to boost your metabolism. You can start the day with lukewarm water as the body is already dehydrated after 8 hours of sleep. If one cannot consume plain water then you can add some flavors like fennel seeds, cinnamon or tulsi for maximum benefits.
