The temples at Khajuraho were built during the Chandella dynasty, which reached its apogee between 950 and 1050.
The Khajuraho Group of Monuments are a group of Hindu temples and Jain temples in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh, India, about 175 kilometres southeast of Jhansi.
They are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temples are famous for their nagara-style architectural symbolism and their erotic sculptures.

Jagdish Temple is a large Hindu temple in the middle of Udaipur in Rajasthan, just outside the royal palace. It has been in continuous worship since 1651. A big tourist attraction, the temple was originally called the temple of Jagannath Rai but is now called Jagdish-ji. It is a major monument in Udaipur.

The Dashavatara Temple is an early 6th century Vishnu Hindu temple located at Deogarh, Uttar Pradesh which is 125 kilometers from Jhansi, in the Betwa River valley in northern-central India. It has a simple, one cell square plan and is one of the earliest Hindu stone temples still surviving today.

Brihadishvara temple, also called Rajarajeswaram or Peruvudaiyār Kōvil, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located in South bank of Kaveri river in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. One of the 12 jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva, Somnath Temple is also the specimen of fine architecture. Dubbed as Eternal Shrine, it is believed to be the place where Lord Krishna ended his Lila and thereafter for heavenly abode. This legendary temple is said to have vandalized numerous times in the history but with the help of zealot Hindu Kings the temple was rebuilt each time.

    • The Chaulukya (Solanki) king Mularaja possibly built the first temple at the site sometime before 997 CE,
    • The temple was built around 649 CE although there are inscriptions that hint at a temple present earlier than that date
    • The temple was destroyed and rebuilt multiple times. The most notable attacks were by Mahmud of Ghazni in 1024 CE and by Alauddin Khilji’s army in 1299.
    • The temple was at a later date attacked by the Portuguese and by Aurangazeb (who else!) who forbid Hindus to worship at the temple.
    • The present temple was constructed in 1951 under the aegis of Sardar Patel and K.M.Munshi.

Badrinath or Badrinarayan Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu which is situated in the town of Badrinath in Uttarakhand, India. The temple and town form one of the four Char Dham and Chota Char Dham pilgrimage sites.

The highlight of the region is the Great Stupa of Sanchi, founded thousands of years ago by Emperor Ashoka and decorated with some of the best Buddhist artwork in the world.The main body of the stupa symbolises the cosmic mountain. It is topped by a ‘harmika’ to hold the triple umbrella, or ‘chhatraveli’, which represents the three jewels of Buddhism – the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. The high circular terrace against the base is accessible by staircases and is designed for worshippers to be able to walk around the stupa.

Sri Ramanatha Swamy and Parvathavarthini temple are located near the sea Shore on the eastern side of the island. It is well known for its architectural beauty of magnificent corridors with massive sculptured pillars on either side. Internationally famous Third Corridor/ Court is almost 23 ft high, running East-West 690 feet; North-South 435 feet and the inner wing - running East-West 649 feet and North –South -395 feet. Vaishno Devi is a manifestation of the Hindu Mother Goddess, Devi. The words "Maa" and "Mata" are commonly used in India for mother, and thus are often heavily used in connection with Vaishno Devi. Vaishnavi was formed from the combined energies of Kali, Lakshmi, and Saraswati.
